Q: Once more I have a small question about Deluxe Menu.
I have rewritten my homepage (still off-line) to use stylesheets instead of frames. But for some reason the drop down menu templates won't appear anymore.
Does DM need frames or can it also work without frames? I would suppose that it can also work on a page with no frames. But for some reason I can't seem to get it to work.


A: If you don't use frames there is no need to write your init functionin the following way:

dm_initFrame("lower", 0, 1, 1);

That is way you cannot see your menu.
Please, write:

dm_init();

Q: Is there a way to change the height of the main buttons in Dhtml Menu. When I use the GUI tool there is nowhere to change the main button height. And when I tried to change it in the script file, it did me no good. I want all of the main buttons to be the same size.

A: You can use standard <img> object to set menu height, for example:

Q: I am evaluating 'Deluxe Tree' and have the following question: Is it possible, and how can I hide a dhtml pop menu branch, that only shows up if user logs in with a certain password. The intent is to only make some menu branches visible to and accessible to 'superuser'.

Q: Can I use just one data.js in one folder that all the pages with a dhtml popup menu point to?

A: If you don't want to create your menu on each page you can use aserver-side script
(php, asp, vb, etc.) to generate html pages fromtemplates on your server.

You can use cross frame menu.
It allows you to build full-featured menus on the pagesthat use frame-based structure.
And it's not necessary to insert any code into all the pages -just specify the additional
parameters of the menu and initialize it.
