Q: I'm having a problem displaying a little white icon arrow on my dhtml foldout menu. I us Adobe Dreamweaver to build my site. When previewing, I found that adding . /.. to the .js file works good and it displays the arrows. But when I Put the menu on the internet it goes back to displaying a blank box like it can t find it again. My menu is in my site's root directory, and I would like to control all my site's pages with it. I am going to have a basic template for the whole site with the dhtml foldout menu on it and I am to building all the pages from that.

If I don't change the link to ../../ the only pages that will work is the one that is in the same directory as my menu files.

A: Try to use absolute paths to your images on the website. Your menu will work correctly inall cases in that case.

Q: We create the menu code via ASP, and we need to have 2 menus on one page. Normally you do this by having 2 java scripts includes.

However it looks like the bottom menu activates the first menu?


A: Now you have two entries of dmenu.js file on your site in the tag.
You must have only one entry of dmenu.js file.
You should write so:

Q: Do you have it in vertical orientation for dropdown menu javascript, please?


A: To create vertical drop down menu you should set the followingparameter:

  var isHorizontal=0;


Q: The spacing between each item of the top horizontal dropdown menu is uneven but I don't know why.

If you highlight them all it becomes more obvious.

It is almost as if the space after a 2 word link is twice the space after a one word link or else the total space after each link is related to the number of letters in the link.

For example the space after 'Discounts' is greater than the space after 'Home' but the space after 'Envelope Printing' is even greater.
