  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. To view all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automagically scrolled! Q: I'm trying to display the submenus to the left of the menu. I searched your questions and found one that said to use the following:
  var smViewType=2;
I added this but it didn't do anything.


A: Try to use this parameter:

  var subMenuAlign = "left";

Q: We would need to programatically open a particular tab in the horizontal tab menu.

A: Unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.

You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.

For example:

Q: Is there anyway to embed particular fonts that I want to use with the javascript menu component?

A: See, for example you want to use HelveticaNeue Condensed font.
If there will be no HelveticaNeue Condensed font on the user machinethe font won't be shown correctly.
You can find another font similar to your font and write it through a comma.

You should choose the font among the following fonts:
Arial
Tahoma
Times New Roman
Trebuchet MS
Verdana
These fonts are installed on the most of windows computers.

Or you can create images with text and use it for the top items.



Q: We have been evaluating your menu control.
But we are not able to use PNGFix javascript which is used for transparent PNG image in our down navigation bar. Your menu is transparent but it goes one layes behind. It should come on top of all with transparecy.

Your reply could help us make a buying decision.

A: Unfortunately it is really so. PNGFix javascript won't work.

We'll try to add feature to use transparent PNG images in the next version of Deluxe Menu.
