  • Sub menus dropdown over all the objects on the page (select, applet, flash, object, embed). If for some reasons (old browser) a submenu can't go over an object, the object will be hidden for a time when the submenu is shown.

Q: In IE7 I see the deluxe-menu.com link on the top and no javascript navigation menu on my page.

A: Your browser has JavaScript option disabled.
It means that no one JavaScript element can be run.
You should to enable JavaScript in IE:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom level... -> Scripting -> Active Scripting = Enable

There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in other
case there are no reasons to create security preferences.
You can use search engine friendly code, so you'll see all your
links (for the main items and submenus) when your security settings in IE doesn't allow Javascript.

Deluxe Menu is a search engine friendly menu since v1.12.
To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

To generate such a code use Deluxe Tuner application.

Q: Do you have a menu that allows the sub-items to 'slide' out from the menu?
For example, you mouse-over the first button, and the sub menu slides from 'underneath' the button from left to right?


A: You should to use transitional effects.

But notice that transitional effects are features of Internet Explorer5.5+ only.

A: You should set the following parameter:
  var texpanded=0;

Check also that you don't have '+' sign before item's text in the top items, for example:
["+Home","", "", "", "", "", "", "0", "", ],
...
["+Item1","", "", "", "", "", "", "0", "", ],


Q: Now I need to work out how to add multiple java menu examples to a page? Are you able to reference these separately - is this possible.

A: You can add as many java menu examples as you want on the one page.

You should call
