The page that I am creating lists out notes from our system - there is a "options" button to the right of each note - when the cursor hovers over this button I want to dynamically load themenu's. On any page there could be over a 100 of these "option" buttons and the menu that would load from each option button could be different and specific to the note.

You may also generate a menus from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.


Q: I have recenlty purchased Deluxe-Menu. I create the items through php. All works fine but the vista style javascript menu button do not display.

A: You should assign individual style for your top javascript menu buttons:

Q: A question: How do I make it show all the drop down dhtml menu items rather than having them pop up?

eg:

A: You cannot expand items by default in Deluxe Menu. You should hoverover menu to open submenus.

You can do it using Deluxe Tree.
To expand specific items in Deluxe Tree you should add + sign beforeitem's text or set the following parameter to expand all drop down dhtml items bydefault:

  var texpanded = 1;



Q: I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the menu to work properly. I want to make sure that I get it working before I make the licesning purchase.

The menu is to be CSS based but while I have the main menu somewhat in location, none of the settings are correct. Can you help?


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
To get the value you should move .css style into style="POSITION: relative;" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css

Try to write so:
<DIV id=if-navbar style="POSITION: relative;">
