Q: I'm having multiple problems with this now, I'm using this sight in the horizontal cross-frame style. And using the CSS-type layout.
Problems:
1. This appears to be working fine in Firefox but I can't see the Menu or frames in Internet Explorer.
2. I have changed the colors in the data.js and the css-mode.css files and still can't change the subMenu background colors. ( I have put everything back like it was, but for example if I want to change the submenu or drop down menu background color to grey and the mouseover color to red where do I change that at)? Do I edit the .css file or the data.js file
3. I can't get the links to open in the bottom frame ( I know you will see that it's set to _blank now, but I tried setting the var itemTarget="_bottommenu"; and the code in the menu section at the bottom of the data.js to the same but it still doesn't seem to work. Can you help me out here?

A: 1) Your menu works fine in all browsers.
2) Your should add the following line into the bottommenu.htm file.
<link href="data-samples/css-mode.css" type=text/css rel=stylesheet>
You should set the item color for the submenus in your css file initemNormal and itemOver styles.
3) You should use the following parameter to set a frame name:

Q: Hi There. I wanted to use your product, but couldn’t figure out how multiple users could get varying menus using the file driven approach.
I currently use a java menu that I build on the fly without any files.
The only thing I could come up with was having each user refer to his/her own data.js file, that I can build on demand.
Does that make sense to you?
A: Deluxe Menu is Javascript code only. It requires several .js files andit's generated on a client side.
Theoretically it is possible to have varying menus for multiple users.You should create your own server-side script (for example, php) thatwill change the menu for your users. The menu doesn't support such afeature.
Q: Extremely new at this and likely way over my head…..but why when I attempt to use my own button image in the “itemBack Image” selection under “Edit Individual Styles” does it keep showing up blank in the preview screen?
A: Please, check all your paths.
You can also use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:
var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";
These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:
var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";
var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];
So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html
Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif
Please, try to use these parameters.
Q: When I open my site in Internet Explorer 6.0 The main menu showsup nicely but the drop-down sub-menus are separated. The menu work very nicely in a Firefox browser but not in IE.
A: There are some problems also with your css.
The problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:relative"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.
Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css, for example:
You should add style="position:relative;"
to the
<DIV id="right">
So, you'll have:
<DIV id=right style="POSITION: relative;">
Check that.
