Q: We are unable to get sub-menus to appear on page load or rather simulate a "windows application style menu".
How can we in combination with the java menu api function dm_ext_setPressedItem get the associated sub-menu to display? This function simply sets the item to "pressed" rather than actually showing the sub-menu. Attempts at beginning an item's text value with "+" only works with Deluxe Tree.
Again, we are trying to use the menu not only as a navigator but also as a visual aid for the user to determine what page they are viewing. For example, when a user clicks on a menu item and that page loads, the menu should display the top-level item pressed, the sub-menu group, and the item pressed.
Furthermore, it would also be useful if we could then "unlock" the pressed items and navigate the menu under normal circumstances.
If there are no existing "quick" functions to accomplish this, could you please point out the function in dmenu.js or another engine file that initiates the display of sub-menus, we could then force the menu to select a top-level item in the onload event thus showing a top-level item pressed along with it's related sub-menu.
A: Unfortunately Deluxe Menu doesn't have such a feature now. It is notpossible to set parent item highlighted, expanded submenu group andhighlighted submenu item.
You can do it using Deluxe Tree now only.Q: The problem that I am still experiencing (Im sure I have missed something obvious!) - is that all the pages open when you click on the relevant links but they always open with the "About Us" tab showing and then as soon as you click on a different tab you see it highlight for a second and then it just reverts back to the About Us tab even though the page has changed. As the site opens I obviously want the first tab to be highlighted as opposed to the 2nd one and the each page highlights and holds as you go through the menu.

You should change the selected tab depending on the page you are now.
This Tabs menu can save pressed item automatically within1 page only. If you open another page, the menu can't remember presseditem. You should do that manually using Javascript and menu parameters( var bselectedItem) or using any server-side script (php, asp, etc.)
Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.
If your site is written on PHP you can set "bselectedItem" parameter based on your link beforeyou call tabs-kasper.js file.
For example, move "bselectedItem" parameter from tabs-kasper.js file to yourcode.

You should define seltabs using server side script.
You can also set on every page before you call tabs-kasper.js file(for example, for solution tab).

Q: When using javascript tabbed menu, where do I place the text content related to the selected tab, (the text presented on the rest of the screen under the tab)? And who do I connect a specfic text to a certain tab?
A: See, for each item you should assign the ID property of the contentDIV (see data file with your menu parameters). You should set var tabMode=0;

Q: Drop down menus I have created with your product DHTML Tuner don't look too good in FireFox... is there something I can do different or do you have a newer/better solution that would work for both IE and FireFox?
A: And what exact problems do you have in Firefox? Actually Deluxe Menu works fine inFirefox. But notice that filters and transitional effect are supported by IE5.5.5+ only.
