Q: I'm am try to use your Deluxe drop down menu generator and can not get it to work..

A: Unfortunately we don't have step by step tutorial yet.
We'll try to create it in the nearest time.

1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.

When you open Deluxe Tuner you can click "File/New"and add items and subitems using buttons "Add Item" and "Add Subitem" onthe main window.
You should set items and subitems parameters on the "Item Parameters"window.

2. You should install the menu on your page.
You can click, for example, File/Export to HTML.

So, you'll have folder with all engine files and images("Deluxe-menu.files/" folder by default), Deluxe-menu.html file anddata-Deluxe-menu.js file with all menu parameters.

Open Deluxe-menu.html file in any text editor and copy several rows ofcode into your page (for example index.html page of your website).

Copy and paste several rows into your html page (index.html).

and data-Deluxe-menu.js file into the same folder with your index.html page.

Try that.

Q: Looks like submenu text for the rollover menus is too long for the background.
How can I ensure the background is the same length as the longest word in my submenu list for the rollover menus?


A: Try to change the following parameter:

Q: Thank you so much for your time and assistance - I've been charged with this project and still struggling a little. Considering my total ignorance to code, I'm understanding much better now, but could you please take a look at the page and tell me why I now have double menus and how to correct?


A: It happens because at first you call
<SCRIPT src="CHSD Map_files/data.js" type=text/javascript > </SCRIPT >
and then you paste the content of data.js file in your code.
That's why you have two menus on your page.Please, delete one of them.


Q: I got your non-profit license a couple of days ago and I’m putting all the pieces together. I appreciate the license. I am having a problem with css styles. I have my site set up with css but can’t figure out how to get deluxe menu to see the css. I have read through the help and examples. I feel so dense. When I set the parameter to 1 what else do I need to see the styles?


A: We have several examples of the menus using css.

You should set   var cssStyle=1; parameter and then assign your stylesto the items.

  var cssSubmenu is a CSS class name for all submenus. You can set, forexample, background color, background image, borders for all submenus.

  var cssItem is CSS class names for all items (normal state, mouseoverstate) in the top menu and submenus.

  var cssItemText is CSS class names for text of all items (normalstate, mouseover state) in the top menu and submenus.

It's possible to appoint individual CSS styles for separate elements of the menu using individual item styles and individual submenu styles.
