Q: I have a quick question: I have an iframe menu item (see note 1) for the dhtml menu sample,
and when I click a link in that iframe, I would like to close the menu.
Is this possible, perhaps by using a javascript call?
A: You couldn't close the menu, you can only hide it.
You can try touse the following code to hide the menu.
["||test menuitem
<iframe src='test.php' onClick='document.getElementById(\'dm0m0\').style.visibility=\'hidden\';'
></iframe>","", , , , ,"0" , , , ],
You can also place your Iframe in DIV tag with indents.
["||test menuitem
<div style='padding: 10px;'><iframesrc='test.php'
onClick='document.getElementById(\'dm0m0\').style.visibility=\'hidden\';'></iframe></div>","", , , , ,"0" , , , ],
Q: I have been trying for months to find an answer to my submenu problem using your FAQ and Recent Questions.
The only thing that comes close to an answer is from one of your Recent Questions below, but I don't understand the answer. Will you please give me specific code or info to fix? Please refer to my frameset code and data.js info, which I've provided further down this message.
I am using cross frame menu dropdown. I have three frames: Top, Left and main (middle).
I am using the script and data from your sample file, it works fine. Only problem is submenu is offset to the right. It does not show up exactly down below the top javascript hide menu.
A: Yes, I suppose that the reason is in your frame structure. For examplenow you have:
top -------------------
**MENU**
left--|main------------
|
| **submenus**
|
Try to add additional frame in your top frame with the same width asyour left frame has:
l-top-|right-top-----------------
| **MENU**
left--|main----------------------
|
| **submenus**
|
Q: I am Registered user.
My question is:
Can you have borders around the sub-menus only. If you can how is this done, if it is done in the individual styles can you walk me through that. I tried it there but for some reason it wasn’t working. I'm thinking I wasn’t selecting the correct item to edit.
A: You should create Individual style and assign it to the first item in each submenu.
var menuStyles = [
["menuBorderWidth=1","menuBorderStyle=solid","menuBorderColor=#813A07"],
];
var menuItems = [
["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Product Info","", "border-example.files/icon1.gif", "border-example.files/icon1o.gif", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["|Features","testlink.html", "border-example.files/icon2.gif", "border-example.files/icon2o.gif", "", "", "", "0", "", ],

A: To enable floating feature you should set the following parameter:
