  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: Hi there, hope someone could help me out.

We have recently purchased your menu product, and I would like to know how I indicate on a javascript slide menu, the root node that was selected. So in other words, if I have a horizontal navigation and I select the 3rd index along the menu and select something from this, how can I make the 3rd index highlighted?

I am not sure how else to phrase this question and hope this makes sense. You help will be appreciated.

Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem. You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.



Q: One question. I'm working on my site and I'm wondering why the background images disappear for a while after hovering over them, then reappear after a while.
Can you tell me how to stop this from happening?


A: ow you have such parameter:

  var itemBackColor=["#FFFFFF","#4792E6"];

The second color is the mouseover background color.


Q: Do your popup menus work with Dreamweaver?

A: Deluxe Menu wasn't developed as Dreamweaver/Frontpage extension and wedon't have plug-ins for it.
To install the menu into your html page:

1. create and save .js file with your menu parameters in Deluxe Tuner
2. open your .html page in Dreamweaver
3. Copy data.js file and "data.files/" folder in the same folderwith your html page.
4. add several rows of code (<script> tags).

Q: When one of my menu items is a link to a url, is there a setting to change the cursor to a hand versus the normal arrow for the dhtml rollover?
Basically, I want the links of the menu items to look like most other links on any webpage.
