A: Check that you use relative position for the menu

Q: Using the example menu you have, how do i make the sub-menu for the 'Sample' menu item a multi-column and leave the 'Product Info' menu item as is.
I only want certain sub-menus to have multi-columns. I don't want all menu items to have a multi-column sub.

You should use individual styles.

Q: Javascript menu frame Borders are present Firefox but missing in IE7, IE8, Google Chrome, Safari.

Firefox shows the borders ok.

A: You've set the following parameters in this menu:
  var menuBorderColor="#FF9191 #FF7837 #E10000 #952D00 ";
  var menuBorderWidth=3;
  var menuBorderStyle="";

You should specify style for your border, for example:
  var menuBorderStyle="solid";

See the attached example. I cannot notice such issue on Safari forWin. Write what version you're using.

Change also
  var fontStyle=["normal 8pt Verdana,normal 8pt Verdana","normal 8pt Verdana,normal 8pt Verdana"];
to
  var fontStyle=["normal 8pt Verdana","normal 8pt Verdana"];

I wanted to know how to hide/ disable the item in the javascript text menu for a particular user/roleid in .ASP.Net1.1 Kindly help me out with this problem as soon as possible.

You can try to use API functions in that case:

function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)

To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".

You can try to use the following function

function disable() {
dm_ext_changeItem(0, 1, 1, ["", "", "", "", "", "_"]);
}

to disable items in your javascript text menu.
