  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I'm trying to position my menus inside absolutely positioned <DIV> tags. If the <DIV> tag has style="position:absolute; top:100px; left:50px;" in the actual tag, deluxe-menu seems to work correctly. If I have the "position:absolute; top:100px; left:50px;" in a <STYLE> tag or a linked stylesheet and applied using id or class selectors, then deluxe-menu does not work correctly: sub menus have a 100pixel offset in the y direction and a 50 pixel offset in the x direction. This is with no change to the .js data file (I have absolutePos=0;) Is this a known issue, and is it planned to be fixed?


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:absolute"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your

css file -> inline css, for example:

For example, you should add style="position:absolute;"

to the

<DIV id=head>

So, you'll have:

<DIV id=head style="position:absolute;">
Now we have only such solution for this problem.
We'll try to fix this problem in the future versions.


Q: I am looking at purchasing the Drop Down Menu Program. I cannot find any examples of other sites that may be using your product.
And each link that I click on for help gives me code to use on the page. Does this mean that I need to know JavaScript to use this program effectively? How recent is the newest version of your program?
Please advise if there is a support forum, also.

I like the transitional fade of onclick tab data between tabs of this menu, but I don't see anything in Transitional Effect variables to manipulate this.

A: You can set transitional effects in the "Transitional Effects"section in Deluxe Tuner.

Q: I am using your product for a website. It seems that I am getting a Javascript error, particularly when accessing any of thedropdown menus. The details of this error message reference either"line 1" or "line 8".

A: You should check your dmWorkPath parameter. You should write itcorrectly.
You should also check that you copy all dmenu_xx.js files in the samefolder with dmenu.js file.

Please, set also the following parameter:
  var itemBorderWidth="0";

This parameter cannot be empty.
