  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! In our current production environment, we build sites on a local machine (no domain) and move the files/sites to multiple servers depending on where the domain is being hosted.

Do we have to reconfigure the domain key each time we move deluxe menu related site files from the actual domain server to our local production environment and back again?


A: Notice your key will work on registered domain only. It won't work onlocal machine.

If you want to use the menu on the local production environment youshould buy Developer License.
The Developer license you can use the menu on an unlimited number of Internet or Intranet sites and on the local machines.
This version of the script doesn't check keys and it isn't bound to adomain name.


Q: Hi, I need to know if it is possible to accomplish the following functionalities with your tree-menu library.

1. I need to have two or more trees in the same page
2. I need to have a checkBox in each node and through a JavaScript function be able to add the selected nodes into another tree.
3. I need to eliminate the nodes that has check=true
4. I need to populate on-demand the tree using AJAX
5. I need to implement drag&drop through the use of the mouse events on the tree nodes

A: 1. You can add any number of the menus on the one page.
2, 3, 5. Yes, you can do it. But you should create your own server-side script (for example, php) that will do it. The menu doesn't support such a feature.
4. Unfortunately, you can't use the AJAX-like technology in the Deluxe Tree such as in Deluxe Menu.
6. It is possible that the loading speed can be lower if the menu is very large. But it doesn't take so much time.
Yes, you can notice some delay in IE, but in over browsers it works better.
Deluxe Tree works fast, but 10000 is a large value. Please, try atrial version of Deluxe Tree.
I tried to create large menus on my machine: P4 3GHz, 512RAM WinXP SP2
It takes:
- 1000 items ~ 10 sec
- 2000 items ~ 40 sec
7. You can paste Deluxe Tree into the <table> or <div>.

A: If you don't want to create your menu on each page you can use a
server-side script (php, asp, vb, etc.) to generate html pages from
templates on your server.

However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

You can use cross frame menu. It allows you to build full-featured menus on the pages
that use frame-based structure. And it's not necessary to insert any code into all the pages -
just specify the additional parameters of the menu and initialize it.

Q: If i use windows tree menu and published on my web site it is default all menu and submenu areopened . I want that all menu is default closed if user click on main menu itwill be opened submenu. Please wich parameters i have to change. Please help me

A: You should set the following parameter:

Check also that you don't have '+' sign before item's text in the top items, for example:
