Q: I have a Deluxe Tree Menu working on a website. What I want is that the javascript dhtml tree remembers which item was open when there is a click on an item.

I found on your website that this is possible with:   var tsaveState = 1;

But when I want to use this option I need to include dtree_ss.js in the html page. I can not find this file in the zip file I downloaded.

Can you help me with this file or tell me where I can find it?

A: See dtree_ss.js file was in the first versions of Deluxe Tree. We don't have such filenow. We haven't updated info on your website on the following page yet

You should use dtree.js file only.

Q: We are registered users of the Deluxe Menu software. Today I tried to use the Javascript API, but there is something I do not understand and want to ask for support.

First, I set up a very simple menu:

This menu is built via dm_init().

Then, I inspect the menu (in Firebug):

["dm0m1", 1, "dm0m0i0", 1, 0]
>>> dm_ext_getSubmenuParams(0, 2)

Ok, there are three submenus. Now I am going to delete one of them:

>>> dm_ext_deleteItem(0, 0, 1)

"Menu 2" disappears on the screen, this works as expected. But now when I re-inspect the menu using the API, I find that the API reports exactly the same as before:

>>> dm_ext_getSubmenuParams(0, 0)
["dm0m0", 2, "", 0, 1]
>>> dm_ext_getSubmenuParams(0, 1)
["dm0m1", 1, "dm0m0i0", 1, 0]
>>> dm_ext_getSubmenuParams(0, 2)

So, it seems the report function continues to know about the original menu structure and reflects it. Am I using the API in a wrong way?

The problem I want to solve is to remove the entire menu dinamico dhtml, in order to rebuild it dynamically. Because I did not see a function aimed to this functionality, my plan was to delete all main menu entries subsequently until the main menu inspector no longer reports an entry. Is there (a better) way to achieve this?

A: Unfortunately, dm_ext_deleteItem() only change visibility of theseitems.

It doesn't delete them completely.

We'll try to fix it in the next versions of Deluxe Menu.



Q: I bought the Deluxe Menu system for one website. Javascript select menu works well on all versions of IE that I tried (5,6,7)

However, the background and shadow do not render in Firefox. As a result the menu is not as attractive.
Can you help with this or am I stuck?

A: You should add Individual Item style and assign it for the top javascript select menu items:

Q: Hello, I very much like your components and will most likely buy one or more (or all!) of them for multi domain use after evaluating, I am however finding a problem with the Deluxe Popup javascript menu windows when it contains Flash content and I am resizing the window in IE6 or IE7, is this a known issue? Do you need an example of what I am referring to? We intend to use a lot of Flash content inside the windows so this is a big issue I need to resolve or workaround somehow, it seems fine in other browsers however.

Also do you have examples of how a window can be manipulated after creation, for example altering its position, width/height, window title and content etc with JS? Such an example would probably save me time evaluating.

A: To overlap your flash file you should add opaque parametersto your flash, for example:
