2. How customizable is it style-wise, meaning, I have images I want used for the top level navigation, and background images for the rest. Any way I can achieve this?

A: 1) Yes, you can add as many levels in the java script navigation menu as you want.

2) Actually you can create any java script navigation menu with Deluxe Menu. You can use Individual Styles tocreate your menu. For example:

Q: I was enthused to see you had cross-frame support for your menus. But, as I got into it, I discovered that your javascript transparent menu doesn't support frames within frames.

A: Actually Deluxe Menu works correctly with nested frames in most cases.Try to install Deluxe Menu in cross-frame mode. If you'll have someproblems you can send us a copy of your html page (including .js files) ora direct link to your website, so we can check it.



Q: How does one go about changing the parameter or the JavaScript so
that a menu selection stays 'on' for the navigation bar script?
In other words, the menu remains selected, perhaps in a background color
that shows the user this menu choice is selected and the user is in the selected menu area.

A: To save your navigation path you should set the following parameter:

  var saveNavigationPath = 1;
The menu keeps items highlighted during menu navigation.
0 - disabled, 1 - enabled (default).

You can highlight menu items by default in two ways:

1) Set the pressed item on each page idividually using the following parameter:

  var pressedItem = -2;
The toggle mode. Sets an index of an item that will be highlighted by default.
-2 - the toggle mode is disabled;
-1 - the toggle mode is enabled, but no items highlighted by default;
0,1,2,3,... - index of highlighted item in a top-level menu.
- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, for example:

Q: Is it possible, for instance, to call dm_init multiple times in the list menu java? If so, do you have an example?

A: Yes, you can call dm_init(); function multiple times (for example youcan call several data files, or move menuItems array and dm_init();function into your page directly) to have multiple menus on your page.
