Q: How woud I make all the sub-menu’s height and text smaller in the css dhtml menu?
A: You can create Individual Item Style and assign it to each item insubmenu.
For example:
var itemStyles = [
["itemHeight=10px","fontStyle=normal 9px Trebuchet MS, Tahoma"],
];
and assign it to each item in submenu:
["|Item 7","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
["|Item 8","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
you can also use standard <br> tags.
["|Home text<br>text","testlink.htm", "default.files/icon1_s.gif", "default.files/icon1_so.gif", "", "Home Page Tip", "", "", "", ],
Q: I'm trying to shrink the vertical size of the sub-menu entries in my menu:
I think I've specified all the parameters correctly in data.js, but itТs hard to tell what affects the height of the submenu entries. Even reducing the type from 10pt to 8pt didnТt shrink them at all.
A: See, you set the following parameter:
var itemPadding = 7;
That is why you have such a big padding around the items.
If you don't want to change the appearance of the main items youshould create Individual Style for the subitems. For example:
var menuStyles = [
["itemPadding=2px"],
];
And assign this style for the first item in submenu.
Q: I see most of the sub-menus of the navigation bar (if there is space on the left side),
they are opening on the left side instead of right side..Could you please let me know how to fix it.
A: You should change the following parameter:
var subMenuAlign="right";
to
var subMenuAlign="left";
Q: I’m trying to set up Ajax dhtml menu tree script but it doesn’t work..
A: To enable AJAX Tree Menu use the following menu parameters:
var tajax=1;
Then set your menu in such way:

Where jsFileName - .js filename on the server that contains tmenuItems variable for the submenu.For example:
