  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.

Q: I purchased your product yesterday and was quite impressed, but I am having a bit of aproblem with my submenuitems. In the general menu properties there is a "Global" vartitemHeight = 22; My problem is that I would like my upper level of my dhtml tree to have one itemheight and my submenuitems to have a smaller height.Is this possible?


A: In the XP Style
  var tXPStyle=1;
the item's height for the top items and submenus will be different.

If you want to use
  var tXPStyle=0;

you can set ite's height for the submenus:
  var titemHeight=16;

And for other items use the blank icon with the height you want to have for the upper
level of your menu items.


Q: The plus symbols (+) for Home, PRODUCT CATALOG, and Back are almost non visible and I can not find a parameter to move the collapsible tree menu to the right or to put a border on the left side.


A: You set the following style:

#menu TABLE {
PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 1em; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: -4px; PADDING-TOP: 0px; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse
}

You should delete
MARGIN: -4px;
style or set it:
MARGIN: -4px -4px -4px 0px;


Q: Cross-frame mode: after clicking on a menu item and the subframe is loading and then mouse over the menu when the subframe has not finished loading a javascript error occurs and then the javascript vertical menu breaks.

A: You can get this error when you load pages from the another domain.

Deluxe Menu can support this mode for the same domain only -- ifyou loaded a page to a subframe from another domain, the submenuscan't be shown in it. It happens because all browsers don't allow todo that for security reasons. Just imagine if you'll able to create aframeset from 2 frames, 1st frame will be with a zero height-width,and you'll load your page into it. Then user will go to another domainand your "invisible" frame will change a content of other pages!



Q: In the standard drop down menu scripts you show a combo box and a search text box. Where are the parameters and/or style options to do this?
