A: You can try to use the following function
function dm_ext_getSubmenuParams (menuInd, submenuInd)
Returns submenu parameters in the array:
[submenu_id, items_count, parent_item_id, submenu_level, is_horizontal]
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
Using this function you can retrieve the parent_item_id.

Q: I have started using your menu and when testing in both IE-browsers the CPU jumps to 100% for at least 30 to 60sec.
Then the sub menu appears but also not as fast as in Firefox(no effects).
Now does my menu contains about 1476 item-lines, and I use the cross-frame modus.
Any ideas?
A: It is possible that the loading speed can be lower if the menu is very large. But it doesn't take so much time.
Yes, you can notice some delay in IE, but in over browsers it works better.
Deluxe Menu works fast, but 1500 is a large value.
I tried to create large menus on my machine: P4 3GHz, 512RAM WinXP SP2
It takes:
- 1000 items ~ 10 sec
- 2000 items ~ 40 sec

Q: Sorry to bother you again, but we've done everything suggested in your fix regarding flash obscuring the multiple drop down menu, but we're still having the same problem in Firefox.
We've - set the parameter in the data file to - var dmObjectsCheck=1;
We've added the following to the start of the data file -

We've embeded the flash as suggested to -

But still our multiple drop down menu sits behind the flash. Are we missing something else?
A: See it is necessary to have opaque parameters in <object> and <embed>tags to display submenus correctly in Firefox.
So, you should open .js file for your flash and find "embed" and"object" words.
And add opaque parameters, for example:

Q: Is it possible to add checkboxes to menu items and retrieve the checked items? I need to create a multiple item select menu. So the javascript menu slide would need to remain open and allow a user to select multiple items and would either submit onmouseout or maybe a "submit these selections" javascript menu slide item.
