Q: How compatible is this program with Frontpage 2003?


A: Deluxe Menu wasn't developed as Dreamweaver/Frontpage extension,BUT you can use it as standard Javascript files. To install the menuinto your html page:

1. open the page in Dreamweaver/Frontpage
2. open html source code of the page
3. add several rows of code (<script> tags), For info see:

Q: Does your product generate the page code or is t a dll I have to use? Reason I ask is because we store our menu stuff with image references in a db. If your product outputs code for the menu, then I can use that and in my own code I can place/substitute values and work with it from there.

A: We have an .exe file - Deluxe tuner.
It generates .js files with menu parameters.
You can also export your menu to .html file.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so, you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

Q: Is it possible to use an external file with these applets? Have tried

but it does not work!

Any suggestions? I have one site with many pages, it would be handy not to have to change 20 pages just to modify one link.

A: You can use "menuItemsFile" param, example
<param name="menuItemsFile" value="menu1.txt">
The menu menu items are in menu1.txt, so you'll need to changeonly this menu1.txt if it necessary to add/remove/change items.

Q: When I put any new link on my javascript scrolling menu info tree it goes as if I am placing as _blank when I have it leading to _self.

A: No you have:
  var titemTarget="_blank";

And you haven't specified "_self" parameter to

You should set
  var titemTarget="_self";
or set "_self" parameter for each item individually:
