Q: I am using the tree menu script in a frameset, and I would like for the selected menu branch to stay highlighted after the user moves the mouse to another window(where the menu brings up a new page),just so the user knows where he/she is.
Is that possible?

A: But if you open links in the another frame (window) the initial frame with your menu isnot reloaded, so the clicked item will be highlighted.
You should set the following parameters:
  var ttoggleMode=1;
  var tpressedFontColor="#AAAAAA";

You can also set the following parameter to save menu state:
  var tsaveState=1;
  var tsavePrefix="menu1";

If you install the menu without frames. On your pages you should call the following function/functions to expand/highlight items, for example:

Q: Could you also tell me where I should place the images I wish to use in the menu, eg arrows. When I select an image to use they are not appearing in the preview, or when I launch deluxe-menu.html?

A: Please, check images paths within data .js file.
For example, if you have data.js file here:

c:/website/data.js

and your images are stored here:

c:/website/images/

you should set image name so (for example):

  var arrowImageMain = ["images/arrow1.gif", "images/arrow2.gif"];

If you use Tuner, you should save data .js file before you'll selectimages. When you save .js file it means that you set a root directoryfor the project, so Tuner can make all selected images with relativepaths.



Q: That worked for the rollover drop down menu but I lost my drop shadow on the main menu. The sub-menus still have it. The preview has the drop shadow but when I view it in IE it is not there.

A: You should check the following parameters:

  var shadowLen=3;
  var shadowColor="#B1B1B1";
  var shadowTop=1;



Q: If need to make changes do I need to replace all the files and folder and script in all the web pages? Or are there just one or two files that need to be replaced? Which files or folders?


A: You need to change only your data.js (by default) file. It is thefile with your menu parameters.
Then you should upload this file on your server and may be add somenew images. That is all.
