  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.
  • Create separators using your own pictures, size and alignment.

Q: I have the cursor set as pointer – on some of the top menu items there is no link behind it yet the cursor still turns to a pointer.

Is there any way to have it so it only becomes a pointer if there is a link?


A: Unfortunately, you can set different cursor type for the menu items.


Q: When I select something from one of the mouseover menus it takes me to a link on a website,
is it possible to run a javascript instead?

A: Actually you can use your own Javascript code instead standard links and html code inside item text.
For example:

Q: Can I use data from a SQL server using ASP for the dhtml xml menu?

A: You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so, you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

Q: I have another question regarding the popup window. I need to use an iframe within the popup window. Is there any way I can close the onmouseover popup from the page loaded within the iframe? Something like "parent.document.getElementById('windowid').hide();". Any help would be appreciated.

A: You can close the onmouseover popup using the following function:document.getElementById('win').hide();

Unfortunately it won't work if you use iframe as window content.
You open another page in the popup (in Iframe) so you cannot accessdocument.getElementById('win').hide();
element which is situated on the first page.

When you use text or object_id as window content the content of the popup will be situatedon the same page so you can access document.getElementById('win') element and hide it.

There is a workaround.
Use text as content type and add the following code inside popup:

<a onclick="document.getElementById('win').hide();">...</a> <iframe></iframe>

Your link will work in that case.
