Q: I'm trying to have two separate menus on my web page. I read what was written in your FAQs about multiple menus, but the response was too cryptic.

It seems to me that if the dmWorkPath for each menu is declared separately, then the menus should work separately (with no interaction). I did not find this to be the case.

Do you have more complete information about creating multiple menus on one page? I would like to understand the issues.


A: David, if you want to create multiple menus on one page you should only call several data.js files with the menu.

For example you can see templates.html. You can find this file in the trial package.


Q: We are using the javascript drop down menu code to create an external link. The absolute path is recognised but it does not work. At the bottom of the page the browser displays an "error on page" message and nothing happens.

Q: How I make sure, that long menu items in dhtml menu sample can wrap into two lines?

A: You should set the following parameter:

  var noWrap=0;

Or use standard <br> tags inside item's text:

["International Music X Home<br>Decoration X Books","", "", "", "", "", "0", "0", "", "", "", ],

Q: The menu maps to the width size of the longest menu item on the list, can you tell me how I can restrict this, and have a fixed menu size.

A: Unfortunately it is really so.
You can try to wrap your text.

You should set the following parameter:
