There are such variables.

dtabs_tabs[menuN].b1 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedItem
dtabs_tabs[menuN].JT0 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedSmItem

But they contain the index of the selected menu item, not the ID.


Q: By the way, I'm not sure I know how to save a screen shot of the vertical drop down menu in the the browser window. Any tips will be appreciated.

A: To save a screen shot of your menu in the browser window you should do the following:

1) Open your website in the browser
2) Open any graph editor, for example Paint and press "Ctrl + V" buttons on the keyboardor go to "Edit / Paste".
3) Then go to "File / Save as".
Save as type - JPEG or PNG.
Select a folder where you would like to save a screenshot and click "Save" button.

Try that.

Q: Why is the submenu a different colour has a different colour than menu items - surely that's not an IE specific feature? The top-level menu items seem to be a different size too, so the layout in IE looks more even.

A: Submenus has a different color because they have a transparency:

  var transparency="90";

Set it to 100.

Submenus also have larger width than top items because they containsmore text. If you want to wrap the text, use
tag between item words.



Q: We are experimenting with your library but can't seem to make it work. I am getting "d_ddm is undefined" in dmenu_popup.js menu script.

A: You should change

onClick="return dm_popup(1, 500, event);

to

onClick="return dm_popup(0, 500, event);

If you have only one menu on the page your menuInd = 0;
