Q: I have a quick question: I have an iframe menu item (see note 1) for the dhtml menu sample,
and when I click a link in that iframe, I would like to close the menu.
Is this possible, perhaps by using a javascript call?


A: You couldn't close the menu, you can only hide it.
You can try touse the following code to hide the menu.

Q: I have 2 questions about this script I would like to find out before purchasing:

1. Does it support 3rd and 4th level java script navigation menu?
2. How customizable is it style-wise, meaning, I have images I want used for the top level navigation, and background images for the rest. Any way I can achieve this?

A: 1) Yes, you can add as many levels in the java script navigation menu as you want.

2) Actually you can create any java script navigation menu with Deluxe Menu. You can use Individual Styles tocreate your menu. For example:

Q: I paid for the Deluxe Tabs and built them the way I wanted with little modification. Everything is working fine except in Internet Explorer 6 on Windows. If I click on another of the 4 tabs in my navigation tabs, the content doesn't change.

A: You should set the following parameter:

  var bselectedSmItem=0;

You should also add style="visibility: hidden;" for a content DIVs.
You won't see the content of all tabs when your page loads in thatcase.

Q: I evaluated Deluxe Menu over the weekend and I really like it. I believe I'll be buying it this week. I have one question. Is it possible for the menu to be aware of what page you have selected and highlight the corresponding menu item on that page.


A: You should set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
