A: You should assign Individual Submenu Style for the items.

You can assign it in the "Item Parameters" window.
Select for example the first item in submenu and assign IndividualSubmenu Style.


Q: All links in navigation bar examples open in a new window even when they're configured to open in the same page (or another frame).

Q: In IE first tab of tabbed navigation is coming selected but in firefox it is not coming selected.

A: Check the following parameters:

  var bselectedItem=0; //top items
  var bselectedSmItem=1; //submenus

Notice that all indexes starts with 0.
