  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.

1. For each individual item, allow attaching a customized javascript to fire up "onclick" and "nomouseover".

2. Allow using a variable size icon for each item.


A: 1. You're able to use Javascript for each item, for example:

  var tmenuitems = [
["item text", "javascript:your_code_here"]
];

Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover event to each item.
However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects withinitems, for example:

  var tmenuitems = [
["<div onmouseover='your_code_here'>item text</div>", "index.html"]
];

2. DHTML Tree Menu uses constant icon size for all icons.
If you wantto use different icon dimensions, you can use standard <img>elements within items:

Q: Tree menu doesn't display properly in Firefox or IE7. Could you give me advice on how to correct this problem? The menu creates black 'blinds' horizontally across the page. Since IE7 will be rolling out soon I need to get this corrected sometime in the next couple weeks.


A: Try to specify units in "px".
  var tmenuWidth = "280px";
It's necessary to specify exact value for Mozilla browsers. It helps to position menus correctly.


Q: In Internet Explorer 7 , the menu with javascript was completely invinsible.


A: Try to set exact width for the menu, for example:

  var menuWidth="500px";


Q: If i use windows tree menu and published on my web site it is default all menu and submenu areopened . I want that all menu is default closed if user click on main menu itwill be opened submenu. Please wich parameters i have to change. Please help me

A: You should set the following parameter:
  var texpanded=0;

Check also that you don't have '+' sign before item's text in the top items, for example:

...
["+Item1","", "", "", "", "", "", "0", "", ],
