a) How could I call a script instead of specifying a link?

b) If the above is possible, please let me know how, in the called script, I could know where the call to the script come from.


A: You can use your own javascript functions in the menu items.

You should paste "javascript:some_function()" into item's link field, for example:

  var menuItems = [
["text", "javascript:your_function(...)", ...]
];


Q: How do you get the menu items in the transparent drop down menu to change to the hand like it's a hyperlink?

A: Set the following parameter in your data.js file:

  var itemCursor="pointer";


Q: I pushed the js files you attached and it fixed my Trial error message but now my left menus APPLMENU.JS and APPL2MENU.JS won't mouse over and won't open the submenus and it gives a javascript error.


A: Now you have several errors in you data files appl2menu.js andapplmenu.js.

Now you have
  var menuBackColor="cccccc";
  var menuBorderWidth="";
  var itemBorderWidth="";

This is not right.
Try to write them:
  var menuBackColor="#CCCCCC";
  var menuBorderWidth="0"; //this parameter cannot be empty
  var itemBorderWidth="0"; //this parameter cannot be empty


Q: At the very beginning of each javascript close menu item (exception for top level item using "XP-Style") there is always a small gap of 2px width.

Firebug show me this small piece of code :
