Q: Hello, I am interesting in purchasing your product, but first I need to know if it is possible to call a JavaScript function from the menu.  I have read the FAQ and noted where it lists that you can perform an alert call, and that worked on my end as well, but when I attempted to call a function I created I could not get it to respond.  Is it possible to call a function from your menu?  Could I get an example?


A: You can write your own functions within menuItems, for example:

Q: Another problem I've found with v3.1 is that the top X value of the javascript floating menu is not used once you start scrolling a page.

A: Yes, we've made some changes in javascript floating menu feature in the new version.

Q: A question: How do I make it show all the drop down dhtml menu items rather than having them pop up?

eg:

A: You cannot expand items by default in Deluxe Menu. You should hoverover menu to open submenus.

You can do it using Deluxe Tree.
To expand specific items in Deluxe Tree you should add + sign beforeitem's text or set the following parameter to expand all drop down dhtml items bydefault:

  var texpanded = 1;



Q: Both arrow types are visible when my intranet first loads and when I select a top item that is a direct link to a page.
But, as soon as I select any item from a list of sub items that includes subitems with arrows,
the arrow images disappear from vertical menu until I refresh the site.

A: You can use additional parameters to make menu paths absolute:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

These parameters allow to make images and links paths absolute.
For example:

  var pathPrefix_img = "http://domain.com/images/";
  var pathPrefix_link = "http://domain.com/pages/";

  var menuItems = [
["text", "index.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif"],
];

So, link path will be look so:
http://domain.com/pages/index.html

Images paths will be look so:
http://domain.com/images/icon1.gif
http://domain.com/images/icon2.gif
