Q: I have setup some tabs on a site that I am designing and for some reason when i click on a tab and it links to another page it automatically highlights the first tab in the row.
  I have triedfiddling with it and have not been able to figure it out.  Can someone point me in the right direction to have the correct tab selected in the css tab menu after i click it and goto the page.


A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.

You should define seltabs and selsmtabs using server side script.

Q: Are there the possibility to have the dhtml menu code into an external file so that nothing of the dhtml menu code will appear on my html code?

A: Menu has data.js (by default) data file with menu parameters, itemsand styles and 9 engine files.
You should only call two .js files on your html page.

Q: It's simply not saving the state.  Clicking the items on the menu is inconsistent.  Sometimes it saves sometimes not.

  It seems to be a lot worse in this area.


A: See, Tree Menu saves it's state using cookies.
But it can't re-save the same cookie file from different folders.
For example, if the tree from "website/page.html" saves it's state,the menu from "website/content2/page.html" can't read this state andit creates it's own state. The problem is that it's a standardfeature of browsers and Javascript can't control that.
