Recent Questions

Q: The "drop down" menus go above the mouseover javascript menu, not below. I want them to go down. That's why it's a DROP DOWN menu and not a DROP UP menu.

And I tried the "  var subMenuVAlign="bottom";" command as per your user database forum and it doesn't work.

So the problem is elsewhere....

A: You should set the following parameter for mouseover javascript menu:

  var subMenuVAlign="top";



Q: Trying to install XP style floating dhtml slide down menu but have these problems:

- Menu does not stay within table cell
- Is not floating

A: > - DHTML slide down menu does not stay within table cell

You're using the floating feature now. Your dhtml slide down menu will float withabsolute position only. So, now you have:

  var tabsolute=1;
  var tleft="1px";
  var ttop="1px";

That is why your dhtml slide down menu does not stay within table cell and hasabsolute position.

Q: I would like to know how to put items in on multiple lines for the horizontal navigation
(i.e. create a line feed), how do I tell my code to start a new menuitem on the NEXT line?

A: There are 2 ways to do that:

1) set

  var noWrap=0;

2) use <br> tags, for example:

  var menuItems = [
 ["|Here is where <br>I would like <br>to have a line<br> feed",,"","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "",],
];



Q: The secondary javascript menu style sub menu under Aircraft doesn't line up the same as in Tuner..

A: Deluxe Menu doesn't work correctly (incorrect submenu position) if youhave complex frame structure.

The problem is in a structure of your frameset.
Mozilla browsers can't determine absolute coordinates for a frame, so submenus drop down with an offset.

You should create, for example, the following frameset structure:

| top |
--|------------|--
| menu |
--|------------|--
| |
| submenus |
| |

Now a second row has 3 columns and all browsers can determine a width of the 1st column in the second row.
