  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: I am not able to get the Keystrokes function to work.  The variable is set to 1 on both parameters and it is set at 113 for the F2 function key but it is not highlighting anything on the horizontal menu I have, any ideas?

A: Please check that you have dmenu_key.js file in the same folder withyour dmenu.js file.

Q: I'm just trying to get those little vertical spacers between menu items in the drop down menu.How can I do it with Deluxe Menu.

A: Please, see the following parameters of the menu:

You can create separators between items in the drop down menu using menuItems, for example:

Q: My top levels over the menu have no link and as such I need the cursor not to change when hovering over it – only change over the menus that drop down.

Please let me know how to fix this


A: Unfortunately, you can't change cursor type for different items.
But you can write so:

["< a href='http://deluxe-menu.com/'> Home ["Product Info","", , , , , "0", , , ],
 ["|What's New","", , , , , "0", , , ],

In all items with links you should use < a> tag.

Set this parameter:
  var itemCursor="default";


Q: I purchased your product yesterday and was quite impressed, but I am having a bit of a problem with my submenuitems.
In the general menu properties there is a "Global"   var titemHeight = 22;
My problem is that I would like my upper level of my drop down menu to have one itemheight and my submenuitems to have a smaller height. Is this possible?

A: In the XP Style

  var tXPStyle=1;
the item's height for the top items and submenus will be different.

If you want to use

  var tXPStyle=0;

you can set ite's height for the submenus:
  var titemHeight=16;

And for other items use the blank icon with the height you want to have for the upper level of your menu items.
