  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: When I run the cursor over the menu, the menu images disappear for usually a split second, but sometimes for several seconds at a time. Is there a way to make the image static or keep it solid when the cursor runs over it?


A: You can have such effect when the page entirely was not loaded yet.
So, images were loaded only for the 1 state and for the other stat were not loaded yet.

If you don't want to have such effect you can use 1 state buttons.


Q: And another question about displaying the links code in html.

How to create a drop down menu links to be displayed in the html code for search engines to catch them, is that possible?

A: You can use search engine friendly code and install it on yourpage before you call your data file.
You'll see text links in that case.

To create a search engine friendly menu you should add additional html code within your html page:

Q: I 've faced problem in new version v3 of dhtml menu generator.

The problem is visualization of cyrillic fonts I took my js file - just edited it ( adding one menu item) and saved.

I think it's not just browser problem because if reopen js in deluxe menu we can see unreadable text. There are no such problems in V2.4.

A: Yes, this problem was fixed in the new version of dhtml menu generator.

Download the new version from the same link in your license messageand install it.

You should use UTF-8 encoding in that case.



Q: I want to highlight an activeted Page with your delux menue tool, which I have bought.

If I have clicked an item from the menue and the site and the new site opened, I want to change the color of this active item.

A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
