  • Build right-click menus for your site. For this purpose you should appoint a peculiar method for the object you want. The current X,Y of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the context menu.
  • Design menus absolutely based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). It is possible to apply the personal CSS styles for every elements of the menu.
  • When the submenu is bigger than the visible page area, the size of submenu will be automatically decreased. Q: It's simply not saving the state.  Clicking the items on the menu is inconsistent.  Sometimes it saves sometimes not.

  It seems to be a lot worse in this area.


A: See, Tree Menu saves it's state using cookies.
But it can't re-save the same cookie file from different folders.
For example, if the tree from "website/page.html" saves it's state,the menu from "website/content2/page.html" can't read this state andit creates it's own state. The problem is that it's a standardfeature of browsers and Javascript can't control that.


Q: It is possible to have context menu work with your tree?
More specifically, when you right click on a tree node, have a context menu appear.


A: Please, try to use this API function:

Q: I have a problem...
On some computers running IE the menu appears and works correctly, on others it doesn't appear.
There is only a line that says JavaScript Menu by Deluxe-Menu.com.
Both of these computers have the same version of IE running. I have reset the security levels back to default levels on both. Still the menu doesn't appear.
For all practical purposes both copies of IE are the same.


A: You should change your security settings in IE to allow Javascript onpages you load. In other case you can't see a dynamic page content.
There is no way to enable these preferences automatically, in othercase there are no reasons to create security preferences.

You can also use Deluxe Tuner application that allows you to generate additional html code for search engine that can't parse Javascript. So, you can use menu links on browsers that doesn't have Javascript support enabled.


Q: I am evaluating your fine menu builder application.

Please let me know the following:

a) How could I call a script instead of specifying a link?

 ["|Product A","http://dhtml-menu.com","","","",,"0",],

b) If the above is possible, please let me know how, in the called script, I could know where the call to the script come from.


A: You can use your own javascript functions in the menu items.

You should paste "javascript:some_function()" into item's link field, for example:

  var menuItems = [
["text", "javascript:your_function(...)", ...]
];
