Q: Is there a way to center floatable menus horizontally on a page?
I used to use absolutePos=0, and all of my menus were centered ok, but when I tried floatable=1 I found that I had to change toabsolutePos=1 to get the menu to float, and this messed up my centering. Since I have multiple menus of different widths, I'd rather not have to hard-code the menu width, but please let me know if there's a better way.


A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.


Q: I am using a licensed copy of Deluxe Menu and am extremelyhappy with the dhtml mouseover menu and the functionalities provided. Great Work!!

I wanted to know how to hide/ disable a dhtml mouseover menu item for a particular user/roleid in .ASP.Net1.1

You can try to use API functions in that case:

function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)

To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".

You can try to use the following function

function disable() {
dm_ext_changeItem(0, 1, 1, ["", "", "", "", "", "_"]);
}
to disable your dhtml mouseover menu items.



Q: I have a question regarding deluxe tab implementation.Can you guide me on how to change tab selection dynamically for the tabbed navigation.

A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return the selected tab.

You can set "bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parameters based on your link before you call your data file.

For example, move "  var bselectedItem" and "  var bselectedSmItem" parameters from your data file to your code.
