Q: I just purchased deluxe menu and can't seem to figure out how to get a custom onMouseOver and onMouseOut event to work on a javascript drop down menu item.

Could you please detail how to do this?

A: Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick/onContextMenu event to each item.
However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within javascript drop down menu items, for example:

Q: How can I make items appear much more quickly in the drop down menu samples?
They appear but only after mouseing-over the menu and waiting for approximately one second.


A: Try to adjust the following parameters:

  var dm_writeAll=0;

  var smShowPause=100;
  var smHidePause=1000;

  var transDuration=150;
  var transDuration2=200;

You can also turn off transitional effects
  var transition=-1;



Q: Is your dhtml menu software compatable with xsite pro?


A: Deluxe Menu wasn't developed as Dreamweaver/Frontpage/XSitePro extension,
BUT you can use it as standard Javascript files.
To install the menuinto your html page:

1. open the page in Dreamweaver/Frontpage/XSitePro
2. open html source code of the page
3. add several rows of code (<script> tags), For info see:
http://deluxe-menu.com/installation-info.html

Q: What I want to do is use your XP Tabs Template.
It appears fine in the Preview Pane but when I load it on my web page the sub-items are all listed on the same line as the tabs.

A: If you want to create subtabs in your menu you should use Tab Mode

and write your bmenuItems in the following way:
