Q: I have made use of the Ajax function in Deluxe Menu. It has made maintenance of a rather complex menu system a lot easier.

I went to generate a Site Map in dhtml menu builder today and realized a shortcoming of using Ajax submenus, the Site Map doesn't show Ajax submenus.

It would be great to have an option in the Generate Site Map (as well as Google XML and Google Search) to include Ajax submenus for a complete picture of the web site.

A: Unfortunately there are such problems with saving of AJAX submenus.
It is not possible to save AJAX submenus in Deluxe Tuner now and it is not possible tocreate search engine friendly code and sitemap for the AJAX submenus.

We'll try to add such features in the future versions of Deluxe Tuner.

Q: I need a dhtml drop down menu with a transparent background for the menu and the submenues.

How can I define this.

A: You can set the following parameters:
  var menuBackColor="transparent";
  var itemBackColor=["transparent","transparent"];

You can set transparency for submenus using the following parameter:
  var transparency="70";



Q: The menus I am trying to change, it seems as though the transparency is too light. Where in the java menu generator do you reduce some of the transparency? Thanks.

A: Use the following parameter in the java menu generator:

  var transparency="100";



Q: Is there a way to center floatable menus horizontally on a page?
I used to use absolutePos=0, and all of my menus were centered ok, but when I tried floatable=1 I found that I had to change toabsolutePos=1 to get the menu to float, and this messed up my centering. Since I have multiple menus of different widths, I'd rather not have to hard-code the menu width, but please let me know if there's a better way.


A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.
