Q: Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to disable the dhtml pull down menu links on a page. (I am creating a site where, in a certain mode, the page is in preview and I don't want the links to work).

Is this possible?

I can run this function across my other <A> tags (which sets them all to the current page), but it doesn't reach into the deluxe menu.

A: To disable your dhtml pull down menu items you should set the following parameter to disable all items:

  var itemTarget="_";

Or you can disable items individually.

Q: Is there any way I can do the opposite and make the space my separators take up only a few pixels high? At present I can only make them the same height as the other buttons even though the separator image is only 2 pixels high.


A: You should set a separator in the menuItems, for example:

Q: I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the menu to work properly. I want to make sure that I get it working before I make the licesning purchase.

The menu is to be CSS based but while I have the main menu somewhat in location, none of the settings are correct. Can you help?


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
To get the value you should move .css style into style="POSITION: relative;" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css

Try to write so:
<DIV id=if-navbar style="POSITION: relative;">


Q: How can I set the top-level menu items of the html pop up menu to be transparent?

A: You should create Individual Item and Submenu styles with transparent itemBackColor and assign it for the top items:
