  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! Q: So, I am still interested if there is a dynamic way to rebuild (and restructure) a menu w javascript, just for interest.

A: No, unfortunately it is not possible to rebuild the menu withoutreloading of the page now. We'll add this feature in the next versionof the menu.



Q: It's simply not saving the state.  Clicking the items on the menu is inconsistent.  Sometimes it saves sometimes not.

  It seems to be a lot worse in this area.


A: See, Tree Menu saves it's state using cookies.
But it can't re-save the same cookie file from different folders.
For example, if the tree from "website/page.html" saves it's state,the menu from "website/content2/page.html" can't read this state andit creates it's own state. The problem is that it's a standardfeature of browsers and Javascript can't control that.


Q: I activated option "state saving" but I think there's a problem;
when I open the website and click on an item of the menu, the pressed item becomes red
(up to now it's ok), but if I have topress F5 on the keyboard or press on the refresh button
to refresh the web page, the pressed item loses its color red.
I'd like the pressed item in the dhtml expand menu to maintain its color after the refresh command.
How can I solve this problem?



A: Tree Menu doesn't save a presseditem as it saves a tree state.
It works within 1 page only and if youreload the page you should set a pressed item using Javascript API:

Q: I want to have one of the drop menus use a different image.
I am using thevista images and would like to have all of them but one use the same imageand the last one a different one. Can this be done?
If not I was able to adda second menu with the different image but for some reason the second menuwill not drop down. Can you help me with either of these?


A: You should create Individual Style for the last item and assign another image for it.
