Q: I now have a tree on the left and an embedded frame on the right. When a user clicks a node, the corresponding html page appears in the frame.

Is there a method I can use when a user clicks a node, the web page will jump to a certain location in the page (menu dhtml hhyperlink)? I'm envisioning using one long web page instead of 30 or 40 separate pages. But I would need the program to work with a hyperlink to know where to jump to.

A: See the structure of tmenuItems array:

You can set link and target menu dhtml parameters for each item individually,for example:

Q: How do I make the submenus sticky i.e. they will not close even when the mouse goes to somewhere else on the page?


A: I've checked your menu in all browsers. I can't see such problem.

You can try to adjust these parameters:

  var transDuration=200; // Delay of a transitional effect (in ms) on submenu's showing.

  var transDuration2=100; // Delay of a transitional effect (in ms) on submenu's hiding.


Q: What can I do to optimize the load time for dhtml rollover
and prevent reloading it from the server with every page reload.

A: You can try to use AJAX technology.

AJAX-like technology: data for submenus can be loaded "on-the-fly" from the server.

New parameter:
  var tajax = 0/1; - disables/enables AJAX-like support

Current syntax for item parameters (  var tmenuItems):
[text, link, iconNormal, iconOver, iconExpanded, tip, target, itemStyleInd, itemXPStyleInd, jsFileName]

Where jsFileName - .js filename on the server with submenu items (  var tmenuItems).



Q: Is it possible to create expandable checkbox menu with you javascript dynamic tree menu?

(I want each tree menu element contain a check box and some text. )

A: No, unfortunately Deluxe Tree doesn't have such a feature now.

But you can paste any html code inside item text, for example:
