Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Apply any font of any color, size and font decoration you need. Use any available type, color and thickness of a menu's frame. Choose any color for submenus and items backgrounds.
  • Set the size of the menu in percent, pixels, or other units. This menu may have a relative (it can be inserted into the table, for example) or absolute position .
  • Specify various values for spacing and padding for the whole menu and for each separate submenu.
  • You can specify a time for delays in showing or hiding of a submenu. Use special prefixes for image paths and links to make paths absolute.
  • Create separators using your own pictures, size and alignment.

Q: I still am unable to make content show for each menu with dhtml tab.

I can make it open a new webpage, but that isnt what I want.

What I want is when the visitor clicks a tab, then content for that tab shows, on the same page, and the tab menu still there.

A: See in Deluxe Tabs there are two modes:

You can create only one level of tabs and assign Object Id's of theDIV's to show when you click on the tab.

You can use Object ID as well as Link in both modes. Use the following prefixes within menu with dhtml item's link field:"object:" - means that there is object id after it;
"link:" - means that there is a link after it.
"javascript:" - means that there is a javascript code after it, for example:javascript:alert(\'Hello!\')

So, you should write for example:

Q: We were wondering is there any api for the css menu tabs available?
We would need to programatically open a particular tab.

A: No, unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.

You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.

For example:

Q: I am using deluxe menus and have a problem with images not downloading when the page loads. Is there a way to instruct the menus to preload the images instead of waiting until a person mouse overs the basic drop down menu for the first time?

I am using images that are called via stylesheet.

A: Please try to add the following basic drop down menu parameter:

Q: I recently purchased your Deluxe-Tabs product and I am trying to create tabs that occupy 100% width with each tab being equal width.

Right now when I specify 100% menu width all of the tabs are difference sizes (widths).

How do I control the individual tab width?


A: You should use Individual Item styles to achieve this effect.

See the attached example.

You should set:

  var bmenuWidth="100%";

I have 5 items in my example, so I've created Individual Style

And assign it for all items:
