However, we have a need for both horizontal and vertical tabs, as well as nesting tabs. We would like the vertical (and nested tabs) to have the same capabilities and features as the horizontal tabs. We notive the vertical tab image example, but that was all we could find. Are there more extensive examples that show the same functionality as the horizontal tabs? Is the product, as is, capable of the same functionality for both vertical and horizontal tabs?


A: See, to create vertical tabs you should add '$' symbol before the itemtext in the first item of the next row.

You can use templates, add '$' symbol and adjust some parameters.


Q: I am using your product for a website. It seems that I am getting a Javascript error, particularly when accessing any of thedropdown menus. The details of this error message reference either"line 1" or "line 8".

A: You should check your dmWorkPath parameter. You should write itcorrectly.
You should also check that you copy all dmenu_xx.js files in the samefolder with dmenu.js file.

Please, set also the following parameter:
  var itemBorderWidth="0";

This parameter cannot be empty.


Q: Just wondering if it is possible to select a specificdhtml tab via JavaScript.
Eg. A link on the page to select the next tab (or any other for that matter)

A: You can use the following function to open appropriate tab:

Unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.

You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.

For example:

Q: I activated option "state saving" but I think there's a problem;
when I open the website and click on an item of the menu, the pressed item becomes red
(up to now it's ok), but if I have topress F5 on the keyboard or press on the refresh button
to refresh the web page, the pressed item loses its color red.
I'd like the pressed item in the dhtml expand menu to maintain its color after the refresh command.
How can I solve this problem?



A: Tree Menu doesn't save a presseditem as it saves a tree state.
It works within 1 page only and if youreload the page you should set a pressed item using Javascript API:
