Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • There can be multi level menus - create as many rows or columns of the menu as you want.
  • Use a mouse to drag a menu as a usual window. Also you can construct the menu where each submenu can be "detached" from the main menu (MSOfficeToolbarLike mode).

Q: I got the menu to display across frames, but it displays differently in Firefox & Mozillavs. Internet Explorer. Is that to be expected?

In The Mozilla-based browsers, the submenu butts right upunder the main menu – which is how I want it. In IE, it is about 10 pixels below.

Also, I can’t get the submenus to drop down directly under the main menus – they are offset by about 100 pixels to the right.

A: The problem is in a structure of your frameset.
Mozilla browsers can't determine absolute coordinates for a frame, sosubmenus drop down with an offset.

You should create the following frameset structure:

--|------------
   | menu
--|------------
   |
   | submenus
   |

Now a top row has 2 columns and all browsers can determine awidth of the 1st column in the second row.



Q: I’d like to know how to populate the navigation bar menu from a database?

Q: I've browsed your product, and I'm trying to determine if there is an existing template that would support a vertical flyout menu, where the static menu is one button, but when clicked on, it lays out 5 additional buttons in a straight line horizontally to the right of the static button. Is this feasible to create with your product with relative ease, and if so, what's the easiest way?

Q: I have noticed an issue with the menu. Dhtml pop up menu does not drop down over the frame if a pdf is being displayed. It does something weird to the browser like shortens the main frame and displays above the menu.

A: Notice that you should add your pdf inside IFRAME tag.

Try to set the following parameter to overlap .pdf files:
