Q: Could it be possible to explain to me how to create cross-frame horizontal navigation bar..
A: To initialize the cross frame menu call dm_initFrame()
function instead of standard dm_init() function within data.js file:
dm_initFrame(framesetID, mainFrameInd, subFrameInd, orientation);
framesetID - id attribute of the frameset;
mainFrameInd - index of the main frame (where the top-menu is placed), >=0;
subFrameInd - index of the subframe (where the submenus will be shown), >=0;
orientation - frame orientaion: 0 - top-to-bottom, 1 - left-to-right; 2 - bottom-to-top; 3 - right-to-left.
So you should create your menu in Deluxe Tuner, save it.
Create html file with your frame set.
Set ID for the first frameset:
<FRAMESET id=frmSet rows=220,*>
<FRAME id=frame1 src="Deluxe Menu Samples_files/cross-frame-horizontal-1.htm"> //menu frame
<FRAME id=frame2 name=frame2 src="Deluxe Menu Samples_files/testlink.htm"> //content frame
</FRAMESET>
Then you should open your data file in any text editor and changedm_init();
for example to dm_initFrame("frmSet", 0, 1, 0);

Q: I use the apy menu inside a table cell and it has 6 sub menus. The table width is 600 so I would like to have each sub menu with width 100 and each item with the same width. I use menuWidth=100 and itemWidth=100 but it doesn't work, each menu has a different size depending on the label.
Also, each sub menu label can fit in less than 100 but I really want the width to be 100 so it looks consistant across the full menu.
What am I doing wrong ?
A: You should use individual item styles. For example:
var itemStyles = [
["itemWidth=100px"],
];
["DHTML
Menus","", "", "", , , "0", , , , , ],
...
["Apycom
products","", "", "", , , "0", , , , , ],
...
["Contacts","http://www.apycom.com/contact.html", "", "", , , "0", , , , , ],
See the attached example.
Q: The problem I am having is specfically on the home page. The Navigation dhtml horizontal menu is at the top of the page. There are also Flash documents on this page only. When you go to the dhtml horizontal menu and select and option that has Sub-Items and position your mouse over those items, when the menu expands to show all of the text, it is cut off on theright side, this only occurres when there is a flash document behind the menu. All of the other pages work fine.
Do you have any idea why this occurrs? I have tried several things to fix this, but no luck. Is there a fix for this?
A: Try to set exact width for your sub menus. You can do it usingIndividual Submenu style:
var menuStylesNames=["Top Menu","width1","width2",];
var menuStyles = [
["menuBackColor=transparent","menuBorderWidth=0","itemSpacing=0","itemPadding=5px 6px 5px 6px"],
["smWidth=100px"],
["smWidth=210px"],
];

Q: I need to create a link drop down menu for a site that has the top level menuhave no border but I want any of the sub menu popups to have aborder around them (or a different background color for the menuarea for the popup). I can not see a way to do this? If a put a menu border on it appears on both the top level and any submenu popups.
A: You should set the following parameters:
1) var menuBorderWidth=0;
2) Create Submenu Style
var menuStyles = [
["menuBorderWidth=1","menuBorderStyle=solid","menuBorderColor=#7E5927"], //style 0
];
You can do it in Deluxe Tuner. Click "Edit Individual Styles" and thenchoose "Submenu Styles" tab.
3) Assign Individual Style for your submenus.
You can assign them only for the first item in each submenu.
For example:
var menuItems = [
["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Product Info","", "default.files/icon1.gif", "default.files/icon1o.gif", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["|Features","testlink.html", "default.files/icon2.gif", "default.files/icon2o.gif", "", "", "", "0", "", ], //style 0
["|Installation","", "default.files/icon2.gif", "default.files/icon2o.gif", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["||Description of Files","testlink.html", "default.files/icon6.gif", "default.files/icon6o.gif", "", "", "", "0", "", ], //style 0
["||How To Setup","testlink.html", "default.files/icon6.gif", "default.files/icon6o.gif", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["|Parameters Info","testlink.html", "default.files/icon2.gif", "default.files/icon2o.gif", "", "", "", "", "", ],
