Q: Do I need to generate a html file after I create dhtml menu and than work from that file? Or can I just copy and paste the code into my existing html file?

A: It will be better create dhtml menu in Deluxe Tuner and save your menu as html file. And copy html codefor the menu from this file into your page. You should also copyfolder with all menu file and data file with menu parameters into the same folder with you html page.



Q: How change the color of the link in the dhtml vertical menu if the link is already visited.

A: Deluxe Menu has only two states normal and mouseover,
butyou can highlight menu items in two ways:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.

Q: If i use windows tree menu and published on my web site it is default all menu and submenu areopened . I want that all menu is default closed if user click on main menu itwill be opened submenu. Please wich parameters i have to change. Please help me

A: You should set the following parameter:
  var texpanded=0;

Check also that you don't have '+' sign before item's text in the top items, for example:
["+Home","", "", "", "", "", "", "0", "", ],
...
["+Item1","", "", "", "", "", "", "0", "", ],


Q: We are using a licenced version of your tree-menu.
Now we have a situation, where we should show the actualclicked menu position with an icon or a color for a collapse tree menu.

A: This can be found with the help of external function of tree menu.
dtreet_ext_userClick(itID, event) - this function is called when clicking a mouse button on the item.

itID - item id
event - standard structure of events generated browser
dtreet_ext_getItemParams (menuInd, itemID) - returns all item parameters.
