Q: We use your deluxe menu app. We are trying to configure menu windows to a certain width. But when we configure it to a certain number of characters, the app cuts words. Is there any way to configure it, so that doesn't happens and puts that word in the lower line in the menu en javascript item?

A: Try to use the following parameter:

  var noWrap=0;

You can also use standard <br> tags within menu en javascript item's text.

Q: I can’t highlight the selected menu item of the current page in the javascript flyout menu?


A: Please, check the following parameter

  var pressedItem=-2;
This parameter sets an index of an item that will be highlighted by default.
-2 - the toggle mode is disabled;
-1 - the toggle mode is enabled, but no items highlighted by default;
0,1,2,3,... - index of highlighted item in a top-menu.

The menu has only two states normal and mouseover. We'll try to add the pressed state in the future.

You can set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page.
That is why you should write your own code on PHP.

You can also set the correct:
  var pressedItem=1;
parameter on each html page.


Q: Is there a javascript function that I can call that will return the ID or the Text value of the currently active tab of the web navigation?

A: Unfortunately there is no such a function now.

There are such variables.

dtabs_tabs[menuN].b1 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedItem
dtabs_tabs[menuN].JT0 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedSmItem

But they contain the index of the selected menu item, not the ID.


Q: I am programming in asp.net 1.1 and asp.net 2. I have a situation where the client wants to govern security with roles. Is there any functionality for deluxe tree to show/hide specific branches based on security levels (i.e. roles)?

function dtreet_ext_showItem (itemID, visibility)
