Q: I have been mostly creating my menus by starting with a template file that has the features I need, and then modifying that file by hand (as opposed to using the Tuner program). In this case I am using data-vista-01.js.

When I load my html file that has references to the necessary resources (e.g. .js, gif, etc) in a directory that has the Images folder and Menu folder copied directly from the installed Deluxe Menu program directories, I get what I want.

This is perfect. But I think to myself, surely I don't need all the .js files from the Menu directory, nor do I need all the .gif files from the Images directory, so I started deleting those files one at a time, until I got to the point where Images contained only the Vista1 folder + the empty.gif file, and the Menu folder contained only dmenu.js. My menu now not working.

I'm guessing that some graphic files need to draw the top-level menu bar are missing. But which ones?
So my question is, what files do I really need? Is this something the documentation describes, and if so where?

I hope I don't have to include the full contents of the Menu and Images folder, as they are quite large.


A: Unfortunately, you should add all need images manually.
We'll try to correct it soon.
You can open your data.js file and see what images you're using in themenu and copy tese images into your folder.

You should also change the following parameter:

  var pathPrefix_img="";

There is no need to use all engine files for the menu.

Q: I’m trying to add a padding before the beforeItemImage for the sub navigation bar but I can’t do it after hours off trying it.

A: You should add a separator with blank (or white) image.

Q: I recently downloaded the trial version of Deluxe Menu-Deluxe Tree and Deluxe Tabs. I am very, very pleased with your product!! I wish to purchase Deluxe Menu & Tree & Tabs & Popup Window & Calendar Single Website License Product # 300094393.
However, before I do, I have a few questions first.

Question #1
I created a DeluxeTree Menu that is very large due to the amount of pages in my website and tested it on my website. It works fine. Of course I have created and saved a .js file and still have to add much more submenus to it. When I purchase the full version of javascript context menu will and begin to modify this .js file that I created will the "Trail Version" logo disappear? I hope so because it would be quite a task to have to re-create this file.

I also created a Deluxe Menu in a cross frame structure and placed the menu in the top frame. When I tested it and click on the menu button, the submenus drop down but do not appear in the frame below. They remain in the top frame forcing me to resize the top frame to see the submenus. When I viewed the example on your website for the cross frame structure, the examples show the submenus overlapping and appearing on the frame below the top frame. How do I fix this?

A: 1) There is no need to create your javascript context menu after the purchase.
You'll use new engine files only.
The purchased version of Deluxe Menus doesn't have nag messages.
You'll see "Incorrect Key" message on a local machine but you won't see it on a registered domain.

Q: I am interested in purchasing Deluxe Menu. But I want to use drop down navigation menu on my PC only, not on Internet and not on Intranet or local host! I want to use it to make presentations similar to PowerPoint but it will only sit on my PC.

Is it possible to buy a license where I can have your software on my PC alone and not get the Trial Message? I am ready to pay for it.

A: You can use Deluxe Menu on local machine with the Developer license only.
