Q: We just downloaded the trial versions to evaluate and I noticed something a little odd. When I build a menu that will not have icons next to the links, I don't see a way the I can move the test further tothe left inside the menu.

Notice how the links within the menu box are almost centered? Is there anyway to move those items further to the left?


A: Try to set the following parameter.

  var tlevelDX=0;

You cannot move it closer to the left side.


Q: Drop down menus I have created with your product DHTML Tuner don't look too good in FireFox... is there something I can do different or do you have a newer/better solution that would work for both IE and FireFox?

A: And what exact problems do you have in Firefox? Actually Deluxe Menu works fine inFirefox. But notice that filters and transitional effect are supported by IE5.5.5+ only.

Q: I purchased the most recent version of "Deluxe Menu & Tree & Tabs & Window Multiple Website License", and now can't open menus from previous versions. When I try to open a custom drop down menu that was created in an older version, I get the error:

Can't open the file:
c:\webs\ltron\ltronmenudata.js
Check youre encode parameter

This happens on all of the older menus that we're trying to update............Do I have to run some type of conversion program on older menu files?

Please let me know as quickly as possible.........we have over 100 custom drop down menus out there and now it seems that we can't edit them!

A: This message means that you should change the encoding:

"Tools/Use utf8 encode"

Change this setting and then open your data files.



Q: Hello, I am interesting in purchasing your product, but first I need to know if it is possible to call a JavaScript function from the menu.  I have read the FAQ and noted where it lists that you can perform an alert call, and that worked on my end as well, but when I attempted to call a function I created I could not get it to respond.  Is it possible to call a function from your menu?  Could I get an example?


A: You can write your own functions within menuItems, for example:
