Q: I am trying to create a tab menu and I have some questions. I want a tab menu that has four tabs. Each tab is a different image, the normal and hover state uses the same image and the selected state uses a different image. This will be applied to all four tabs. All the tabs will not have any text on them because the image will already have text on it. This tab menu will not have a submenu but will use <div id> tags to populate information when a certain javascript menu master tab is selected.

I am having difficulty trying to create this type of tab menu to work with the Deluxe Tuner. Each time I try to make an image as a tab that image is applied to all javascript menu master tabs which I do not want. I want each tab to have a different image.

Please advice how I can do this.

A: If you want to use different images you should use Individual ItemStyles and assign them for your tabs.

Q: I still am unable to make content show for each menu with dhtml tab.

I can make it open a new webpage, but that isnt what I want.

What I want is when the visitor clicks a tab, then content for that tab shows, on the same page, and the tab menu still there.

A: See in Deluxe Tabs there are two modes:

You can use Object ID as well as Link in both modes. Use the following prefixes within menu with dhtml item's link field:"object:" - means that there is object id after it;
"link:" - means that there is a link after it.
"javascript:" - means that there is a javascript code after it, for example:javascript:alert(\'Hello!\')

So, you should write for example:

Q: When doing a multi-frame frameset (1 top frame, 2 bottom frames) like this:

And using the dm_frameinit like this:

it works fine in IE -> the menus are displayed exactly under the text and in the bottom right frame.

However, in Firefox, the menu drop down is displayed to the right of the top menu text, and exactly the number of pixels as the width of the left frame.

Perhaps there needs to be some FireFox checking to fix this?
Can you help me with that?


A: The problem is in a structure of your frameset.
Mozilla browsers can't determine absolute coordinates for a frame, sosubmenus drop down with an offset.

You should create the following frameset structure:

 --|------------
   | menu
 --|------------
   |
   | submenus
   |

Now a top row has 2 columns and all browsers can determine awidth of the 1st column in the second row.


Q: I would like first to thank you for your products.
I downloaded the trial script and it's ok except for Hebrew or Right To Left languages.

Do you have a solution for this issue ??

A: You can use right-to-left languages the same way as in standard htmlcode.
Set "dir=rtl" for <html> tag.
Try that.
