Q: We'd like to underline dhtml pop up menu items on hover but we can't do it with those spaces.
A: To set align for the one dhtml pop up menu item only you can use the following method:
instead of
["email a temp expert ","email.html", "", "", "", "", "15", "", "", "", "", ],
you can write:
["<div align=left>email a temp expert</div>","email.html", "", "", "", "", "15", "", "", "", "", ],
and set fontDecoration=none,underline style for this item:

Q: I can’t seem to figure out how to keep last clicked item in my java menu script marked.
I use these options:
pressedItem = -1
var saveNavigationPath = 1;
Where and how do I determine the background color of the clicked item?
I also have this problem on Deluxe Tree.
A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover.
Try to do the following things:
- delete var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

<script type="text/javascript"> var dmWorkPath = "menudir/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/dmenu.js"></script>

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
Q: My top levels over the menu have no link and as such I need the cursor not to change when hovering over it – only change over the menus that drop down.
Please let me know how to fix this
A: Unfortunately, you can't change cursor type for different items.
But you can write so:
["< a href='http://deluxe-menu.com/'> Home ["Product Info","", , , , , "0", , , ],
["|What's New","", , , , , "0", , , ],
In all items with links you should use < a> tag.
Set this parameter:
var itemCursor="default";
Q: How can I place the dhtml pull down menu onto multiple pages using FrontPage 2000? I am not using CSS. Do I need to copy the html into all of the pages, or just place the script into each page?
A: Yes, you should paste the following html code on your pages:

If you don't want to add such code on each page, you can try to useframes, the dhtml pull down menu has a cross-frame mode. Also you can use aserver-side script (php, asp, vb, etc.) to generate html pages fromtemplates on your server.
