Q: How does the search engine stuff work. A web developer told me to stay away from java script if you want google to recognize your webpage.
Can you comfort me by telling me how it works.

A: Spiders can't read dynamically-generated Javascript code, so theycan't read menu links.
Search engine friendly means that you can add additional html codewithin your html page. You can generate such a code using Deluxe TunerGUI that you can find in the trial menu package. But if you'll use themenu without any additional html code, spider won't see menu links.

Q: I want to be able to put a small thumbnail icon in the description area of animated drop down menu. Here is a current line from my .js file for a single link.

 ["|'Slow Death Hook' Contest<br><br><br>Enter Your Favorite Fish Photos to Win!<br>Gary Parsons ","http://www.domain.com/site/featured_article.cfm?owner=AB18D298-0AC7-254E-B7248E9DCD0F9549 ",,,,,"0"],

I want it to do this though:

 ["|'Slow Death Hook' Contest<br><br><br>Enter Your Favorite Fish Photos to Win!<br>Gary Parsons ","http://www.domain.com/site/featured_article.cfm?owner=AB18D298-0AC7-254E-B7248E9DCD0F9549 <br><br><img src="images/thumbnail.jpg">",,,,,"0"],

The problem is the "'s around the img src.....it's throwing off your animated drop down menu.

How do I fix that?

A: It is not correct to write menuItems in such way.

You should write:

 ["|'Slow Death Hook' Contest<br><br><br>Enter Your Favorite Fish Photos to Win!<br> Gary Parsons <br><br><img src='images/thumbnail.jpg'>","http://www.domain.com/site/featured_article.cfm?owner=AB18D298-0AC7-254E-B7248E9DCD0F9549",,,,,"0"],

Try that.

Q: We have several problems with your menu.
Notice when trying to select a drop down item…the item disappears, rather than holding in place as the mouse is over the menu item.

Second, we’d like to know how to expand the width of the main headers and sub headers. Currently, they are not of the same width.

Lastly, we’d like to change the font and load new fonts to match the branding of the menu items.
Please let us know where we can find instructions to make these modifications/customizations.

A: Please, try to write your menuItems parameter correctly.
You should set "iconOver" parameter for each item (you can set "").
Please, see how you should write your menuItems:

["","index.php","nav_home_out.gif","nav_home_over.gif","","_self","0",,,],
["","","nav_experience_out.gif","nav_experience_over.gif","","_self","0",,,],
     ["|Contestants","experience_contestants.php","","","_self","2",,,],
...

> Second, we’d like to know how to expand the width of the
> main headers and sub headers. Currently, they are not of the

You should use Individual styles, for example:

  var itemStyles = [
["itemWidth=120px","arrowImageMain=image1,image2=home_out.gif,home_over.gif"],     // style 0
["itemBorderWidth=2","itemBorderStyle=solid,solid", "itemBorderColor=#AA0000,#0000FF"],     // style 1
["fontStyle=bold 12px Arial,Helvetica", "fontDecoration=none,underline"],     // style 2
];

  var menuItems = [
["","index.php","nav_home_out.gif","nav_home_over.gif","","_self","0",,,],
    ["","","nav_experience_out.gif","nav_experience_over.gif","","_self","0",,,],
...

For submenus you should set the following parameter:

  var smWidth="150px";

> Lastly, we’d like to change the font and load new
> fonts to match the branding of the menu items.

You should also use Individual styles.
But you should set this parameter:

  var fontStyle="";
And then use different fonts for your items.

Q: Hi I have a menu item which has a word wrap on it. The word wrap it auto so instead of saying the following

Sickline Call
123456789

It says

Sickline Call 123
456789

I need to put either spaces in the title to level it out or a carage return

A: You can use any <html> code within menuItems, for example:

  var menuItems = [

["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Sickline Call<br>123456789","", "default.files/icon1.gif", "default.files/icon1o.gif", "", "", "", "", "", ],
