Q: Is there a way to increase the margin between the text on the main tree menu and the edge of the dhtml menu control. The text appears to be right up against the left margin.

A: You can add   symbol before item's text, for example:

or you can write:

["+<div style='padding-left: 15px;'>Deluxe Tree: XP Style</div>","", "", "", "", "XP Title Tip", "", "0", "0", "", ],

Actually you can use any html code within dhtml menu control items.



Q: Last, I couldn't solve the issue I meet when I set up a long name for an dhtml side menu item: next item overlaps. Is it possible to specify the width of an item?

A: You can try to use the following dhtml side menu parameters to use combinedbackground for your items:

  var beforeItemImage = [,]; //left-side image for normal and mouse over state
  var itemBackImage = [,]; //background or image for normal and mouse over state
  var afterItemImage = [,]; //right-side image for normal and mouse over state

But you should create a small images in any Graph Editor, for example:

Q: Can the Deluxe Menus be set to open by click and stay open when clicked for some time?

A: You can open Deluxe Menu on click. Set this parameter:
  var showByClick = 0;          Show submenus on a mouse click only.
0 - disabled (default),   1 - enabled.

You can use such parameter in you menu:
  var transDuration = 300;         - Delay of a transitional effect (in ms) on submenu's showing.



Q: I am wanting to load menu items from a sql database but I cannot understand how to do it using the example you provided.

I am using asp but do not know how to incorporate it into the above javascript. Would it be possible for you to provide me with an example please? I tried using <%  …… %> but this did not work.
