Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! You can also specify height and width for each separate submenu.
  • Build menus completely based on Cascading Style Sheets. It is possible to appoint the individual CSS styles for separate elements of the menu.

Q: The menu has a problem with newlines. The menu builds correctly (layout ok) but when pressed on the button nothing happens

At some point, in the DHTML menu, we have the following in the javascript:

  var menuitems = [

 ["|Print HTML","javascript:alert('HTML print: Only the 7 most recent orders on the screen \n will be printed because of space limitations on paper.');printResult('4'); ","","", ,"_parent",,] ]

As you can see we have a newline (\n) between the words "screen" and "will". But when we click on the button nothing happens. If we remove the newline and we click on the button then we first get the alert box. After pressing the OK button the function printResult is called.

Is there any way for us to still use the newline character in the menuItems variable?

This can be easily reproducible. That's why I haven't made an example.

Q: Is it possible to make the menuitems rightclickable in the latest version of Deluxemenu. I want to rightclick on the drop down menu in javascript item and choose open in new window.

A: No, there is no such a feature in Deluxe Menu v3.2.7.

You can write your item in the following way:
 ["|<a href='http://www.domain.com'>test test test</a>",""],

But you should assign style for this link.
A.link {

}
A.link:hover {
...

Q: I've browsed your product, and I'm trying to determine if there is an existing template that would support a vertical flyout menu, where the static menu is one button, but when clicked on, it lays out 5 additional buttons in a straight line horizontally to the right of the static button. Is this feasible to create with your product with relative ease, and if so, what's the easiest way?

Q: I just purchased your product and I have it installed and it is working great. Great job with this product.

I am wondering why I am only seeing just a small percentage of the templates for the css rollover menus. On your web page, there seem to be dozens of different styles to choose from. On my local software there is only a few. Can I download the additional "vista" styles somehow?
