Q: It actually does work - I got it to work, however some functions like transparency is not working, trial version pop up disappeared and transition when the submenu item comes down is not working - it simply pops the menu down.
A: Please, notice that transitional effects don't work in Firefox.

Any ideas? Should we upgrade to the latest version? If so, what it the upgrade path for us? Will we have to modify our data-tree.js file?
A: Yes, try to use Deluxe Tree v2.4.
See in Deluxe tree you should specify correct tWorkPath parameter:

This parameter should point to the same folder with dtree.js file.When you use movable or floatable feature you should copy dtree_add.jsfile in the same folder with dtree.js file.

Q: We would need to programatically open a particular tab in the horizontal tab menu.
A: Unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.
You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.
For example:

A: Actually you are able to paste any html code within items.
