Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • There can be multi level menus - create as many rows or columns of the menu as you want.
  • Use a mouse to drag a menu as a usual window. Also you can construct the menu where each submenu can be "detached" from the main menu (MSOfficeToolbarLike mode).

Q: We want to create a hyperlink (lets say google.com) to the item (eg. Industry,International Airlines etc) and display it in the dataframe.

For eg On clicking the 'International Airlines', the hyperlinked content should be displayed on the DataFrame along with expanding the navigation items. Right now it just expands the navigation , but the link doesn't work.

The hyperlink works fine for the subitems. We want to do the same for the main items as well.


A: You can write your top items in the following way:

Q: I'm trying to evaluate the possiblity of using your menu in our product. Can we specify our own onclick event handler for the menu item?


A: You're able to use Javascript for each item, for example:

  var menuitems = [
["item text", "javascript:your_code_here"]
];

Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick event to each item.
However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within items, for example:

  var menuitems = [
["<div onClick='your_code_here'>item text</div>", "index.html"]
];


Q: Currently the links of javascript tab control open in a _blank browser, how do I change this?


A: You should set the following parameter:

  var bitemTarget = "_self";

You can set it using Deluxe Tuner. You can find this parameter in theTab-Mode section.


Q: The spacing between each item of the top horizontal dropdown menu is uneven but I don't know why.

If you highlight them all it becomes more obvious.

It is almost as if the space after a 2 word link is twice the space after a one word link or else the total space after each link is related to the number of letters in the link.

For example the space after 'Discounts' is greater than the space after 'Home' but the space after 'Envelope Printing' is even greater.

A: You can try to set the following horizontal dropdown menu parameters:
