Javascript Menu. DHTML Menu.

  • There can be multi level menus - create as many rows or columns of the menu as you want.
  • Use a mouse to drag a menu as a usual window. Also you can construct the menu where each submenu can be "detached" from the main menu (MSOfficeToolbarLike mode).

Q: When the page initially loads, the sizing of all the tabsappear the way I want them to.
The first time any of the tabs are clicked on in the dhtml tab menu, I get a little bit of white space and a faint vertical line just to the left of tab 1.

You should also set
  var bselectedItem=0;
to select your first item by default in that case.



Q: Is there any way I can do the opposite and make the space my separators take up only a few pixels high? At present I can only make them the same height as the other buttons even though the separator image is only 2 pixels high.


A: You should set a separator in the menuItems, for example:

Q: I am having a lot of trouble trying to get the menu to work properly. I want to make sure that I get it working before I make the licesning purchase.

The menu is to be CSS based but while I have the main menu somewhat in location, none of the settings are correct. Can you help?


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
To get the value you should move .css style into style="POSITION: relative;" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css

Try to write so:
<DIV id=if-navbar style="POSITION: relative;">


Q: I'm looking at purchasing your product but have one small problem. I'm using the expandable menu and would like to have the menu save the state when reloading or refreshing the browser.
Can this be done with the expandable menu? If so, what is the syntax?


A: I advise you to use Deluxe Tree, http://deluxe-tree.com/. This is a newer version of Dhtml TreeMenu.

You should use the following parameter:
