Q: I have one more question before I purchase alicense: is there a way to use images instead of text as the menu items?

A: Yes, you can create image-based menu.

If item text is empty, icon fields will be used as item images.
For example:
["", "index.html", "itemImageNormal.gif", "itemImageOver.gif", "Home Page"]


Q: It all works great under IE, but when you view it in Firefox the fly-out menus (off of Products, Services & About Us) do not appear over the Flash animation to the right in IE.

It works fine under Firefox on all other pages apart form Home, because Home is the only page with containing the Flash animation.

Could you please have a look and let us know if this is a known issue (we're using the latest 8 dmenu .js file, time-stamped 11 April 2006).

Q: Buttons are working great! Client would now like to have the rollover image stay active on the page they are on. They would like the button to stay white when you navigate to a particular page, i.e. If you click on "Press", when you get to that page, the button stays white, while all the others react in the normal manner. Is this possible?? I have seen it on other sites and it seems like it should be possible. Please let me know. I believe it could be done by creating a separate menu for each page, but that seems like a lot of work. I am sure you have a solution.


A: The menu has only two states normal and mouseover.

Try to do the following things:

- delete   var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)

Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.

But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.


Q: I have to pass dynamic value from the link when the user click the mouseover menu.

A: Actually you can use your own Javascript code instead standard links. For example:
