  • Create contextual menus for your pages. For this purpose you should assign a special function for the object you want. The current coordinates of the mouse pointer or your own ones can be used for the contextual menu.
  • When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! You can also specify height and width for each separate submenu.
  • Build menus completely based on Cascading Style Sheets. It is possible to appoint the individual CSS styles for separate elements of the menu.

Q: The plus symbols (+) for Home, PRODUCT CATALOG, and Back are almost non visible and I can not find a parameter to move the collapsible tree menu to the right or to put a border on the left side.


A: You set the following style:

#menu TABLE {
PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 1em; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; MARGIN: -4px; PADDING-TOP: 0px; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse
}

You should delete
MARGIN: -4px;
style or set it:
MARGIN: -4px -4px -4px 0px;


Q: There's no explanation of what to do after creating a dhtml menu example or where to paste the code, which files to upload..

A: 1. Create your menu in Deluxe Tuner.

When you open Deluxe Tuner you can click "File/New"
and add items and subitems using buttons "Add Item" and "Add Subitem" on
the main window.
You should set items and subitems parameters on the "Item Parameters"window.

You can click, for example, File/Export to HTML (you can't do it inthe MAC version).
Save your data file.
Add several rows into your html page.

into "deluxe-menu.files/" folder. You should place this folder in the
same folder with your index.html page.

Please let me know the following:

a) How could I call a script instead of specifying a link?

b) If the above is possible, please let me know how, in the called script, I could know where the call to the script come from.


A: You can use your own javascript functions in the menu items.

You should paste "javascript:some_function()" into item's link field, for example:

  var menuItems = [
["text", "javascript:your_function(...)", ...]
];


Q: The /js subdirectory of the Apycom Tree Menu trial package has no data file, i.e. the data file is missing.

A: This file can be renamed, for example, into tree-data.js.
This file contains Javascript code with menu parameters and items.
It has the following structure:

  var param1 = value1;
  var param2 = value2;
  var param3 = value3;
...
  var tmenuItems = [...];

Please, check that.
